How To Maintain Your Machines
Proper maintenance is essential to prolonging the life of your equipment. Select your product to view basic maintenance tips.
HARDMOUNT AND SOFTMOUNT WASHER-EXTRACTORS
- Check the door lock for proper operation on a daily basis.
- Inspect the water inlet valve hose connections on the back of the machine for leaks daily.
- Leave the loading door open at the end of each day to allow moisture to evaporate.
FRONT LOAD AND TOP LOAD WASHERS
- Leave the washer’s lid or loading door open and let the inside wash drum dry out after use.
- Check the filter screens annually, and clean and replace if necessary.
- Check all hoses on a monthly basis for any visible signs of deterioration such as cracks, blisters or material wear. Replace hoses immediately if they show any of these signs, or every five years as part of your routine maintenance schedule.
TUMBLE DRYERS AND SINGLE DRYERS
TUMBLE DRYERS
- Have an authorized service representative thoroughly clean the tumbler every year.
- Clean any lint from the lint compartment and screen daily to maintain proper airflow and avoid overheating.
- Check cylinder daily for foreign objects to avoid damage to clothing and equipment.
- Remove lint and debris from inside the exhaust duct every month to maintain proper airflow and avoid overheating.
SINGLE DRYERS
- Have an authorized service representative thoroughly clean the tumbler every year.
- Clean the lint filter before drying each load. *Lint filter may be washed if needed.
- Remove the lint filter annually to vacuum the duct under it.
- Inspect the exhaust duct for lint build-up after one year of service, and clean if necessary.
- Inspect the outside weather hood frequently to make sure dampers move freely and are not pushed in or restricted.
STACK WASHER/DRYERS
- Leave the loading door open during extended periods of non-use to allow the wash drum to dry out.
- Check the filter screens annually, and clean and replace replace if necessary.
- Check all hoses on a monthly basis for any visible signs of deterioration such as cracks, blisters or material wear. Replace immediately if any hoses show these signs.
- Clean the lint filter before drying each load. *Lint filter may be washed if needed.
- Remove the lint filter annually to vacuum the duct under it.
- Inspect the exhaust duct for lint build-up after one year of service, and clean if necessary.

FLATWORK FINISHERS
- Inspect the area between the thermostat holder and the cylinder daily and clean if debris is present.
- Inspect the thermostat holder daily and make sure it is touching the cylinder.
- After every 200 hours of operation, use clean hands to gently wipe off any debris from the scrapers that guide the linen from the ironing cylinder into the output tray.
